PRESSURE TRAINING

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9th September 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to training services provided by Paul Hamer trading as Pressure Training, a sole trader.

They apply to bookings made by businesses, care providers, organisations and other clients for training delivered by Pressure Training.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

2. Booking a course

A booking is confirmed when Pressure Training accepts the client’s booking request and agrees the course, date, location and price.

Any quotation is based on the information provided by the client at the time. Where the client’s requirements change significantly, Pressure Training may need to review the agreed arrangements or price.

Purchase order requirements can be accommodated where applicable. The absence of a purchase order does not remove the client’s responsibility to pay for training that has been properly booked and delivered.

3. Prices and payment

Unless stated otherwise, prices shown by Pressure Training are per group, not per learner.

An invoice will normally be issued following delivery of the training.

Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date, unless different terms have been agreed in writing before the course.

The client is responsible for ensuring that any internal purchasing, authorisation or invoice-processing arrangements are completed in sufficient time to meet the agreed payment date.

4. Cancellations by the client

Where a client needs to cancel a confirmed booking, the following charges normally apply:

  • More than 14 days before the course: no cancellation charge.

  • 7–14 days before the course: 50% of the agreed course fee.

  • Less than 7 days before the course: 100% of the agreed course fee.

Pressure Training may, at its discretion, reduce or waive a cancellation charge where circumstances reasonably justify doing so.

5. Rescheduling

Where possible, Pressure Training will allow a client to reschedule a confirmed booking once rather than cancel it.

A new date must be mutually agreed and will be subject to trainer availability.

Further changes may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.

6. Cancellation or rescheduling by Pressure Training

Pressure Training will make every reasonable effort to deliver training as agreed.

However, courses may occasionally need to be postponed or cancelled because of illness, emergencies, severe travel disruption or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

Where this happens, Pressure Training will offer an alternative date wherever reasonably possible.

If Pressure Training is unable to provide the agreed training, any course fees already paid for that undelivered training will be refunded.

Where appropriate, Pressure Training may also offer a reduced price for a rearranged session as a goodwill measure.

Pressure Training will not be responsible for indirect costs incurred by the client as a result of unavoidable cancellation or rescheduling.

7. Training venue

For on-site training, the client is responsible for providing a safe and suitable training environment appropriate to the course being delivered.

The venue should provide sufficient space, seating and facilities for the agreed number of learners and for any practical activities or equipment required.

Pressure Training may pause, modify or decline to deliver an activity where the environment presents an unreasonable safety risk.

8. Learner numbers

Pressure Training generally recommends groups of up to 8 learners to support practical participation and engagement.

Some courses may accommodate up to 12 learners by prior arrangement, depending on the course, venue, equipment available and the time required to deliver the training appropriately.

Where larger numbers require additional resources, equipment or delivery time, an additional charge may apply and will be agreed beforehand.

9. Attendance and late arrival

Learners should arrive in sufficient time to participate in the full scheduled session.

Where a learner arrives significantly late, the trainer may decide that they cannot safely or appropriately join the session, particularly where essential instruction or practical content has already been missed.

Any decision will take into account the nature of the course, the amount of training missed and whether the required learning can still reasonably be achieved.

10. Learner substitutions

Clients may substitute one learner for another where necessary.

Where practical, Pressure Training asks that substitutions are notified in advance so that attendance and certification records can be prepared correctly.

11. Practical participation and reasonable adjustments

Some Pressure Training courses include demonstrations, practical activities or learner participation.

Learners should inform the trainer of anything that may affect their ability to participate safely.

Pressure Training will make reasonable adjustments where practicable while maintaining the safety and integrity of the training.

No learner will be required to undertake a practical activity that the trainer reasonably considers unsafe.

12. Course completion and certificates

Certificates are issued according to the nature and requirements of the course completed.

Some Pressure Training courses are awareness or non-regulated training and do not constitute regulated qualifications unless this is expressly stated.

Where a course requires satisfactory participation, practical demonstration or assessment, attendance alone does not automatically guarantee successful certification.

Where a learner has attended but has not achieved the required standard, Pressure Training may, where appropriate, issue a clearly described attendance or awareness certificate rather than a certificate implying competence.

13. Course content

Pressure Training aims to deliver training that is current, relevant and appropriate to the agreed course objectives.

Course content may be reasonably adapted to the needs of the group, sector or client while maintaining the intended learning outcomes.

Bespoke and blended training will be agreed with the client before delivery.

14. Travel

Reasonable local travel associated with normal Pressure Training on-site delivery is included within the agreed course price unless stated otherwise.

Where a booking requires significant additional travel, accommodation or other exceptional costs, these will be discussed and agreed before the booking is confirmed.

15. Training materials and intellectual property

Course materials, presentations, handouts, training resources, branding and other materials supplied or created by Pressure Training remain the intellectual property of Pressure Training unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Materials are supplied for the client’s and learners’ own use in connection with the training and must not be reproduced, sold, published or used to deliver training to others without permission.

16. Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate booking information, suitable facilities, appropriate learner attendance and any relevant information reasonably required for safe and effective course delivery.

Pressure Training is not responsible for disruption or reduced learning outcomes caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including unsuitable facilities, excessive interruptions or insufficient attendance time.

17. Complaints and concerns

Pressure Training aims to resolve concerns promptly and fairly.

If you have a concern about a booking, invoice or training session, please contact:

paul@pressuretraining.co.uk

and provide sufficient information for the matter to be reviewed.

18. Changes to these terms

Pressure Training may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The terms applying to a confirmed booking will normally be those in effect when the booking was agreed, unless a later change is expressly agreed with the client.
